Tripp Lite's SMART550USB line interactive UPS system offers voltage regulation,
surge suppression and long lasting battery support for personal computers, internetworking
equipment and other sensitive electronics. Internal UPS circuits support entry level
PC systems for up to 30 minutes during power failures so that connected equipment
can be shutdown without data loss. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) circuits regulate
brownouts as low as 83 volts back to normal 120V levels without using battery power.
The SMART550USB offers complete desktop power protection in an black tower configuration. Includes 3 battery supported outlets for computer, monitor and one vital system
peripheral, plus 3 additional surge suppression-only outlets for printers and other
system accessories not requiring battery support.

| Voltage Regulation |
|
| Voltage regulation description |
Line interactive voltage
regulation corrects brownouts as low as 83V back to 120V nominal values |
| Direct pass through |
Voltages of 106V and
greater are passed through to connected equipment unchanged |
| Brownout correction |
Input voltages between 83
and 105 are boosted by 14% |
| LEDs Alarms & Switches |
|
| Front panel LEDs |
4 LEDs indicate
performance conditions: GREEN "online" / GREEN "voltage regulation
enabled" / RED "on battery" / YELLOW "battery low/replace" |
| Alarms |
Audible alarm with 15
second delay sounds to indicate loss of utility power. Alarm can be
silenced by pressing front panel alarm cancel button. Once silenced,
alarm will re-sound when approximately 2 minutes runtime remain. |
| Switches |
Includes 2 front panel
switches - one main on/off power switch and one dual function "alarm
cancel" / "self test" button |
